I started out in May of 2008 walking on a treadmill at 3 MPH for 8 minutes. I slowly started increasing my time by 1/2 minute a week and gradually added in some exercises. I stayed with it every day for months and at some point several months down the road the weight started dropping. I have now worked up to running 4 miles a day and have lost 55 pounds. I think the key is to take it slow at first and very gradually increase your activity. I have asthma and couldn’t run 200 feet when I started. I have severe allergies and those are also much better. Take it slow and don’t expect instant changes. You can do it.
